Wow, would you look at that? Only 2 weeks have passed (not even) since my last post! Who would have thought that would happen? Today's going to be a quicky, simply because I can't type much with my looney dachshund, Cooper, attacking me to get me to play ball with him. Plus, I've gotta start getting ready for work very shortly here. Anywhoost, it does feel good to be working on this blog! I'd forgotten how much I love doing this!

So, this past weekend, Steve, Ian, and I went to Laurel to visit a few of the antique stores there. The first one we hit was Peddler's Junktion, where I used to go years ago to purchase coins for my collection. Ah, the memories! The place has changed quite a bit since then, for the better, but they no longer have a coin booth. The best thing about that booth was that I could sit in a chair at a table and just go through the coins at my leisure! That's a definite rarity these days! But, times change and places move on! We next went to The Rusty Chandelier, which is larger and has a different vibe altogether. And then we went to a "new" place (new to us, anyway, although evidently they've been in business for 2 years lol) called Derailed Antiques (so named because they are behind the train station). Nifty place, cozier vibe than The Rusty Chandelier, and it's the only place where Steve found stuff he wanted to buy. He found a gorgeous pair of luster vases, although "vase" is a bit misleading since there's no bottom to them. I only have a pic of one of them, and the undercarriage of it, down below.

For the pics below, we'll start with a decanter I found in Mobile the weekend before. As y'all may or may not remember, New Mexico is a little dream I have, and when I saw this decanter, I knew I had to get a pic of it (no, I did not purchase it!). Foreshadowing? Temptation? Or mockery? Who knows, lol! Doesn't matter, I had to snap the pic. Next is an image of me from a couple of weeks ago, and then I got the idea to try using AI to give me some hair so I'd see what I would look like if I were actually able to grow hair. And I love it! Too bad that will never happen lol! But, whatcha gonna do? Next are some fabulous images of the infamous Cooper when he was playing with Ian on the sofa. And then there's a pic of Ian looking devilshly handsome, and then an AI altered image to make him into an actual devil. Speaking of AI, I took an image of myself when I was in a dressing room trying on the jeans I now wear (four pairs of the same jeans, although it being summer, the only pair I actually wear is the one I designated as my work jeans), so I thought I'd see what I'd look like with abs. Ooo-la-la! I may actually need to get some abs! Next, there's a dress that I saw at Peddler's Junktion that I thought was pretty cool. I then got the idea to take the same pic I used with abs to get AI to put the dress on me! The original copy of that image is at the top here, my page pic, while the one down below is when I asked AI to put an antique bookstore as my background. Next I took a pic of Steve and put him in the dress as well. His background is the actual antique store where we were. Next is a Rusty Chandelier photo of me in a scary situation haha. Halloween is just around the corner! Then I tried on a hat, Steve tried on a tiara, and I thought I'd see how I'd look in Steampunk. After those pics are the 2 of the luster vase at Derailed. And then we have a little mini Cooper photoshoot.

So, that is my quicky entry for September 1! Can't believe we're in the 9th month of this crazy year! I also can't wait until this corrupt administration is in our rearview and everything he's fucked up during his term is reversed and corrected! Until next time, much love and frijoles!
