Two Goats and a Donkey!

Sunday, November 19, 2023

Hello friends. I wish I could say today is a good day, but I'm feeling rather poorly today. Actually, I have all weekend, but it got worse today. At the moment, I'm not feeling too terrible, but I've had what I believe to be two separate issues striking me today/this weekend. One is my IBS, which is always a terrible thing any time it strikes, and the other I think may be the kidney stone I may or may not have that's been causing me issues since July. I've been having some sort of aches and pains in my urinary area, and last time I saw a doctor about it, they believed it was probably a kidney stone. If it is, it still hasn't passed in 4 months, and I'm tired of dealing with it. And when you also have IBS issues, it's difficult sometimes to distinguish between the pains and try to figure out what's causing what. I've finally decided that the two are working in tandem to try and bring this bitch down this weekend, and I'm here to say I'm not having it.

At 5:20 this morning, I almost woke Steve up to take me to the ER, but decided to let it play out and see what happened. He also needed to leave early, but was torn between leaving to get things done at home or staying in case I needed him. I sent him home, as there really isn't anything he could do here anyway, other than drive me to the ER if I needed to go and I'm perfectly capable of driving myself if need be. Right now, at almost noon, it's just low-grade discomfort, so I think I'm going to be fine. Hope so anyway, since it looks like I'm going to have a 15 hour work day tomorrow.

Ok, for this entry, I'm doing something a little different. Last year I'd written a short story for Halloween for the girls at A Paranormal Chicks Podcast to read during their special Halloween story episode. So I thought I'd post that here for anyone that wants to read it. It's called Him. If you read it, I hope you enjoy it. It was quite the honor to have it read on the podcast, as the girls have thousands of listeners worldwide! Not like my little podcast that may have 2 listeners of the infrequent episodes!

On Friday, I of course went to Sam's to pick up Steve's groceries for the restaurant, and while there, I saw they had persimmons for sale. I've never had persimmons before, but I'm wanting to eat more fruit and therefore eat more healthy, so I got myself a package of them. I'd eaten almost half of one after I'd gotten home before I thought about photographing one for the blog, so pardon the half-eatenness of it! That's the first 2 images below. The next 3 are of myself with a wolf (a taxidermied one at the 49 Flea Market in Hattiesburg), one of myself in my van trying to look sexy (lmao), and then one of Steve and myself with one of Jimmy's dogs (I think this was Jasmine). I tried to make it a little artsy by making the background vanish lol.

Anyone remember a couple of years ago when a woman named Sharon posted a pie she'd burned, then she tried to blame Marie Callender for it, posting on their Facebook page a picture of the burned pie and the caption that read something along the lines of "Thanks for ruining Thanksgiving, Marie Callender!"? Well, it's nearly Thanksgiving again this year, so I rustled up several of the memes that became quite popular during that time and those are the remaining pictures down below!

Ok, so it's time to end this entry. I'm still feeling better, so hopefully that trend will last. I hope everyone's weekend as fantastic and will talk to you soon!

George
